John brings extensive experience to ELEVATE RETREATS with having worked at top-notch health and fitness resorts, including holding positions such as former Head Trainer at The Biggest Loser Resort in Malibu, CA and Personal Trainer/Group Exercise Instructor at Red Mountain Resort in Ivins, UT. John has also been a Certified Fitness Professional/Group Exercise Instructor at Gold’s Gym, Equinox & 24 Hr. Fitness in Los Angeles, as well as catering to clients in their homes. As a former Group Exercise Director at 24 Hour Fitness in West Hollywood and Beverly Hills, CA. he has also led instructor seminars on teaching and technique.
For the past 3 decades, John has been inspiring, motivating & educating people with his can-do attitude. John’s exuberant energy motivates people by providing them with the confidence & inspiration to overcome mental barriers that often interfere with achieving health & fitness goals. The ability to connect, motivate, inspire and transform lives is what John refers to as “his gift to others.” John’s philosophy on health, weight loss and positive mind-set has been touching lives all over the world. John is recognized with American Council on Exercise (ACE), International Sports Science Association (ISSA), National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and 24 Hour Fitness.
His energy has also led him on camera in being featured on new stories with NBC affiliates in Salt Lake City and Los Angeles in promoting The Biggest Loser Resort. Highlights include flying to NYC to do a live segment with Rachael Ray on her show & a spot with actress Marissa Winokur in a segment that appeared on “EXTRA.”
John found his passion for health, fitness & well being in his 20’s as an aerobics instructor. As overweight adolescent John was embarrassed of his weight and body. As a young man he discovered how exercise, eating well and being balanced in mind, spirit & body transformed him. John’s mission with ELEVATE is to further share his knowledge and experience in helping others to live their lives at the highest level of health, fitness and well being.
